These are two giclee prints made from an original oil painting and a pencil drawing. I painted the Gorilla after watching the documentary Virunga (highly recommend) and the Lion was a quick preparatory sketch for a larger drawing. The two together make me feel a sense of calm and I like the contrast of the line work with a softer gradation of tone in the painting.
